SXILL Begins Animation Course at PEC Chandigarh for BDes Students
Chandigarh, January 2025 — In a move that redefines how design education is delivered in traditional academic setups, SXILL has launched a specialized Animation course for PEC Chandigarh’s BDes 2nd Year students. The course blends Graphic Design and Animation principles with hands-on studio exposure, making it ideal for design aspirants looking to break into the creative industry.
The course kicked off with a keynote session by SXILL Founder Vineet Raj Kapoor, a seasoned UX Design educator and India’s Expert at WorldSkills. He gave students a deep dive into how design knowledge translates into real-world opportunities, urging them to develop a strategic design mindset. “India’s design education often lacks the bridge between theory and execution,” he noted. “That’s what this course aims to address.”
Sakshi Sharma, one of SXILL’s UI experts, will co-deliver the course alongside Vineet. This collaboration became possible through the combined efforts of the Centre of Excellence, Centre for Skill Development, and the Design Department at PEC.
SXILL’s track record includes mentoring students from Thapar, MIT WPU, DSEU, UIET, and participating in events like Smart India Hackathon and IndiaSkills Nationals, consistently earning industry-wide appreciation.
“We’re thrilled to see this kind of initiative from PEC and are truly impressed by their students’ enthusiasm,” said Neelu Kapoor, SXILL Co-founder and Graphic Design Jury at IndiaSkills.
Running until April 2025, this course brings SXILL’s deep industry insight and international mentorship directly into the PEC campus — giving students a transformative edge in animation and design.
