Beyond Pixels – SXILL & CDS Alumni Reunite in a Heartwarming Alumni Networking Meetup
Chandigarh, February 2025 – Nearly 40 alumni from batches as early as 1997 to the 2020s gathered for an unforgettable Alumni Networking Meetup, hosted by SXILL and Chandigarh Design School. Titled “Beyond Pixels – My Circle of Trust”, the event marked 29 years of their journey in creative education.
Set in the spirit of reconnection and collaboration, the meetup honored a long-standing legacy that began with a ceremonial havan in February 1997, blessed by Dr. S.P. Singh, then Chairman of University Business School.

From nostalgic flashbacks to future collaborations, the evening was filled with laughter, stories, and renewed friendships. Vineet Raj Kapoor, founder and WorldSkills IDT Expert, welcomed the guests saying,
“This is more than a celebration. It’s a revival of the bonds we’ve built, and a tribute to the dreams we’ve shaped together.”
The alumni mingled in breakout groups, followed by a round of introductions and personal stories. Many expressed deep appreciation for the mentorship and emotional support they continue to receive from their former mentors.
Alumni like Shikha Sharma (2004), now COO at LTA and HIPAA, and Saloni Chopra (2009), Principal UIUX Designer at Oceaneering, USA, shared how the SXILL/CDS support system still plays a role in their lives. Saloni’s husband, a 2005 graduate, now leads as a 3D Artist at the same company.
Neelu Kapoor, jury member for IndiaSkills and co-founder, summed it up beautifully,
“Our students are family. Every milestone in their life feels like our own.”
We applauds such meaningful reunions—a reminder that true education creates connections that last far beyond the classroom.
