SXILL Student Arjun Kumar Nominated for “Best Animator” at WAVES 2025 Awards of Excellence
We are thrilled to share that Arjun Kumar, an outstanding alumnus of SXILL, has been nominated as “Best Animator” for the “Best 3D Animation by a Student” at the WAVES 2025 Awards of Excellence, part of the prestigious World Audio Visual and Entertainment Summit (WAVES) organized by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting in collaboration with ASIFA India.
A Journey of Hard Work and Mentorship
Arjun’s journey has been nothing short of inspiring. Balancing part-time jobs with intense training, Arjun demonstrated resilience and dedication throughout his learning path. Reflecting on his experience, Arjun shared:
“I had personal mentoring at every step of my learning at SXILL. While the nomination came as a surprise, it was only possible thanks to my mentor, Mangat Chauhan, ex-Creative (Animation) Director of Motu Patlu. His guidance helped us all reach a professional level.”
Many of Arjun’s peers at other institutions are still finding their footing, but SXILL’s training has helped its students land jobs in top studios like Technicolor, 88 Pictures, Assemblage, PhilmCGI, and more.
